Luther Village Donates Tablecloths to Faith Evangelical Missionary Church in Kitchener

When Luther Village housekeeping staff member Maria Santiago noticed that Luther Village on the Park had some unused tablecloths in storage, after switching to an external contractor for our linens, she had an idea. She checked in with our Director of Operations, Margo Blayney, to ask if she could purchase the linens and donate them to her church, Faith Church, in Kitchener, as they were in need. When Margo learned that Maria was willing to purchase them herself, the team was touched by her generosity, and responded with the willingness to donate the tablecloths directly to Faith Church.

From Faith Church Pastor Richard Kopanke:
“THANK YOU to Luther Village for their donation of tablecloths to Faith Church in Kitchener!  Maria Santiago, an employee of Luther Village, is shown here with myself alongside a beautifully arranged table featuring this recent donation.  These tablecloths were first used at a recent Seniors Dinner at the church for over 60 folks … and then at a Christmas Mystery Dinner Theatre.”

Faith Evangelical Missionary Church conducts an extensive Seniors Program including Bible Study / Discussion Groups, Community Meetings, Meals, a Seniors Buddy program ensuring visits for shut-ins, Games Days with youth, Kite making and flying with children – these are some of the activities involving Faith’s older generation!
