"Dementia wall murals have proven to be a powerful and effective tool within the memory care floor. They create a refreshed and interesting environment and encourage social interaction between residents, increasing activity levels. Because an engaging home is more comfortable and relaxing for people with living with dementia, it helps to reduce boredom and keeps people involved, active and conversational. This supports a calmer environment, promoting better sleep patterns and eating habits, all of which are vital for overall wellbeing and quality of life. This mural is from the Luther Village Memory Care floor and has been well-received by residents and other guests."
