It is important we take a few moments and celebrate the moments that bring us joy. We have found throughout this pandemic the one thing that remains constant is the feeling of community and connection. Our families are a large part of this as well. The history of our lot that now houses our campus has a pretty interesting past. We decided to explore the story & history of our 20 acres. This story features some fun facts about 'The Sunshine Company'.

International Seniors’ Day, October 1! This story celebrates older adults living in Waterloo Region. The Waterloo Regions Age Friendly group asked 20 seniors to share some inspiration to celebrate International Senior's Day.

They had the participants reflect on the benefits of volunteering and giving back to their communities. Their answers were impactful, sincere and inspiring. Three of our residents were featured!

It is wonderful to see our residents take the lead and host groups that are important to them right here on site. The ‘Retired Women Teachers of Ontario’ have many chapters all over the province. Luther Village is where the Waterloo Chapter comes together as a few of our residents are members.

Being of resource is very important to us. We have team members who have worked extensively within retirement living and 'senior's housing' for many years. Their  education and expertise is valuable especially in these times. There is a lot of news and information circulating that is unfortunately not all accurate or detailed enough. We decided we wanted to put together some information and questions that would be helpful when discussing and exploring Senior Living options and COVID-19.
