June was a month of celebrations!
We celebrated all fathers and father figures on Father’s Day with a clever magic show. For Pride month, we took the opportunity to learn with a local organization, Spectrum Community Space, who offered us Rainbow Diversity Training.
We were fortunate to host a special performance by Story Book Events, Cinderella Sings! This took us on a trip down memory lane as we heard some classic Disney songs sung by true Disney Princesses from our childhoods.
We celebrated Canada Day early with a party and performance of some of our classic favorites by the Dynamic Duo.
In Memory Care, residents enjoyed a horticultural workshop with Sue from Ubgreen and made a festive tree for Canada Day with air plants, how fun!
Every week, our residents get to jam with little ones and their parents at the Intergenerational Jamboree and this month was a hit as usual.
Thank you for joining us at the On The Table Discussion that explored resources and ideas relating to connectedness and social infrastructure in our community and region. We are looking forward to getting together for more such table discussions with our community going forward. Our community had the opportunity to meet our onsite wellness vendors at the Village Vendor Expo with a chance to complete a survey and win a door prize. Congratulations to our winners!
