Through this unprecedented time, many people are struggling to find JOY. Although January provides us shorter days and cold weather, it can be the start of something new! 
Here are some ways of inviting JOY in your life on a daily basis!

  • GET OUTSIDE! Going for a walk or exercising releases endorphins and will lead us to thinking more positively.
  • GET CREATIVE FOR MEALS! Did you know food effects your mood?  When we eat healthy, we feel better! It is also exciting to try new things like take-out from a local restaurant or recipes from a friend.
  • FIND JOY EACH DAY! Consider celebrating a national day to provide focus and creativity into your normal routine. January for example had so many of interest including:

January 5 – National Bird Day
January 15 – Strawberry Ice Cream Day
January 19 – National Popcorn Day
January 21 – National Hugging Day
January 22 - National Answer Your Cat’s Questions Day 
January 24 – Compliment Day – how do you feel when you receive a compliment? How does it make others feel? Try to give at least 3 compliments today and you may find it brings JOY to you and others!
AND when all else fails know that spring is right around the corner!
