As we close out National Volunteer Week, we celebrate three special individuals who have had a positive impact within our retirement community.
1. Sofia is a volunteer through the St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program. She and her K9 Yukon will be visiting our residents weekly.
2. Roxanne receiving an appreciation gift this week. Her mother-in-law lives in the Sunshine centre and she wanted to give back by volunteering her time on our Parkview Suites Memory Care floor.
3. 2022 marks Linda's 10-year volunteer milestone with Lutherwood.
Linda Kraak– Activities & Friendly Companion Volunteer
Linda joined the Events and Activities team back in 2012 to support the programs at Luther Village on the Park. Linda has developed wonderful relationships with many of the residents and staff. Linda has also helped with the smooth running of many of the programs offered at LVP. Linda also provides one on one friendly visits with residents and has continued volunteering virtually over the last two years with phone calls to residents. Thank you, Linda, for ten years of service and dedication!
We are extremely grateful for these two incredible individuals and all of our volunteers who not only share their time, but bring their hearts and smiles every day!
