May gave us an opportunity to celebrate all mothers and mother figures in our community with a High Tea including delicious scones and classical music.

We enjoyed several performances throughout the month with some of our favourite entertainers, including our very own Ella Nafziger from the Food Services department, and a unique Centre Stage performance with dancers from a local studio.

Recreational student, Naomi, led an engaging soapmaking workshop for our residents, where they were able to explore the act of designing, shaping, and selecting the perfect fragrance to craft a soap for the home.

This month, our health information sessions focused on accessibility as part of National Accessibility Week which ran from May 28th to June 3rd. Our first workshop highlighted the importance of having emergency pendants, along with resources to access when researching available brands. In our second workshop, Nancy Munn, our on-site Kinesiologist, provided us with helpful tools to improve our gait and overall accessibility. Finally, residents were invited to a CATIE workshop to learn the functions of our online community portal and how to navigate the site and access resources.
