This month we enjoyed an abundance of music including more than 11 different local entertainers! The Museum helped residents expand their knowledge of Waterloo’s musical past through a special presentation called Rock This Town.
We participated in interesting learning engagements and conversations with our educational series including the Grace and Grit workshop on forgiveness, Falls Prevention, and Neurofunctional Health. Our documentary film An Inconvenient Truth, along with this month’s topic at discussion group of Individual vs. Collective Responsibility, helped us reflect on the meaning of Earth Day.
The Sacred Circle Dance has been an enjoyed activity which got us moving while listening to uplifting music. We also enjoyed an Easter Sunday service with Chaplain Brandon, who offered a thoughtful message for us to reflect on.
Our treat cart was a favourite and residents enjoyed extra large cinnamon buns, good company, and laughter!
Vendor KMW Clothing came with a variety of clothing and jewelry for purchase, a convenient way for residents to update their wardrobes without leaving the building.
Last but not least, we enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate our volunteers and let them know how much we appreciate them be it with a card, words of gratitude or a whole hearted smile.
